Roadseal is a fuel resistant, protective rejuvenator for airport runways, taxi ways, car parks and residential streets.
Roadseal is an effective fuel and waterproof pavement sealer, designed to not only seal the pavement, but to rejuvenate as well.
Due to Roadseal's ability to penetrate into the bitumen surface, it dramatically reduces the viscosity in the top 6-12 mm of pavement, depending on the oxidation of the existing pavement, therefore increasing the ductility of the surface once the Roadseal has penetrated.
Over the past few years, Roadseal has been used by major domestic and international airports throughout Australia, as a fuel and oil resistant barrier on parking aprons, taxi ways and runways.
On residential streets, Roadseal has been used as a rejuvenator and sealer to minimise the amount of moisture penetrating into the pavement and thus creating a new surface, resistant to ultraviolet rays and rainfall. These two factors are the major cause of pavement failure. The visual effects of Roadseal will also contribute to the overall look of the surface, thus making the existing pavement look brand new again.
Roadseal has been specially formulated to penetrate and still set quickly enough to ensure that curing time is reduced to the minimum, thus enabling re-trafficking shortly after application. With its exceptional ability to penetrate and combine with the existing asphalt binders, Roadseal does not delaminate like emulsion based rejuvenators tend to. One of the principal causes of distress in asphalt surfaces is due to oxidation of the bitumen binder.
Roadseal generally takes 2-6 hours to cure, depending on prevailing weather conditions, road temperature and application rate. The application rate generally varies from 0.1 lt/m2 on a new hot mix pavement to 0.4 lt/m2 on heavily oxidised pavements.
