Benefits & Application

BENEFITS

Dustsolv provides a number of benefits, including safer transport, elimination of water use on roadways, reduced road maintenance costs, increased equipment life and a healthier working environment.

Benefits from Dustsolv use include:

  • Rapid drying times, reduces overall non productive down time.
  • Not water soluble after drying. Non leaching.
  • Enhanced stabilisation improves the load bearing strength of treated roadways.
  • Fewer reapplications are necessary because of the accumulative effect of the product.
  • Dustsolv negates water consumption used for dust suppression.
  • Dustsolv increases safety and visibility on roads by minimising dust emissions.
  • Dustsolv is suited to a wide variety of applications. Site inspections will determine product type and application rate.
  • A Dustsolv surface looks like a sealed surface because Dustsolv remains in place and builds up over time with additional applications. This increases the strength and elasticity of the surface effectively eliminating washboards, ruts and potholes.
  • Dustsolv in both formats, is classed as non Dangerous and non flammable. This reduces transport risk and OH&S issues.
  • Low VOC’s

APPLICATION

Dustsolv is applied to the surface from a   computer controlled spray rig.

It is suggested that an initial application should be applied @ 0.75 – 1.0 litre per square metre.

Application rates will vary significantly depending upon the porosity and particle size of the surface to be treated. After repeated applications the application rate may be reduced as the concentration of bitumen binder in the surface increases.

The frequency of application will depend upon traffic volume and shear forces being applied by wheels and tracks. With repeated applications, frequency intervals will reduce also.

The automatic rate controller gives us the ability to adjust application rates to the clients needs.
